Relax......NOW!

People are rude! And driving at times can be nerve racking (rush hour, snow, sleet) but instead of dreading slowly as I prepare for my many trips into the wild and rushed to get home or work, I take a single tablet of Relax Now and everything is a breeze. Relax Now is not habit forming. If I take it once I'm fine. But I also find that if you take it at night your sleep is more restful.

I love the feeling of peace of mind it gives me. I just wish I knew about it sooner! I probably would have been able to give my mother a Relax Now tablet before she went to therapy in the mornings. It would have helped her have peace of mind about going to physical therapy. I know driving is a lot easier to deal with in most cases, instead of wanting to do something with a bad outcome, I just shrug it off and remind myself of whats important. Getting home safely. So, if you have trouble relaxing or just need to get through the next series of interviews you have lined up, Relax Now should be a definite fixture in your pocket on the way into those job interviews.

*Remember any of the products I mention are not to be a cure. These products only give the body what it needs to be good to us. If we are good to our bodies then our bodies will take care of us.*

Health & Consciousness

I write this blog to help me get word out about good health. It directs you to other websites of mine as well. We all need focus better on better nutrition. Our bodies need nutrients and trace elements that a lot of the meals we eat on a daily basis do not offer. Even the foods we buy from the store are not all they are cracked up to be. If you don't believe me, you can search it for yourself. Once you know what you're searching for you will get the information I have found. The honest truth is we need better food, better information on our labels, and better bodies.

The average american is tired of putting food of no value into their bodies. A lot of which are empty calories. We drink and eat plenty of these on a daily basis as well. Junk food is not our friend! We have to put it back where it was. Candy, chips, and ice cream are treated as salt and pepper now. The are on everyone's table or in everyone's kitchen. We don't need anybody to tell us what's wrong with that.

I have come to realize that I have the same problem as well. I'm writing this because even though I keep up with my shakes and vitamins I slip from time to time too. Everyone does, we are not perfect, but we can learn from many of our experiences and watching what other's are often going through. I myself needed to make the decision for my health for two reasons. My mother had suffered a stroke, she can hardly move her right hand or bend her right leg. She can walk only short distances, but it made me realize I have to shape up. I cannot sit around eating junk food and buying fast food all time either because of my mother's health condition things with me especially had to change.

It shocks me to see that people care more about their looks then they do their health. It's your choice of course, but is it worth it in 20 years care about your health? Suddenly you're 50 in the doctor's office with a list of health problems that the doctor prescribes a pill for. If you didn't start taking care of what you were eating when you were younger then you'll most likely have health issues in the future. And truthfully, any day is a good day to start making a pledge to eat better. Once you start eating better you will start feeling better you body will then have the tools it already needs from nature. Start with a garden, or reading labels more closely (a lot of us just put things in the cart without checking the expiration date.) and another important thing is portion control. Start with one, pace yourself. It'll be fun and easy.

That's it for now.

New Year, New you.........so how are you doing so far?

We are 13 days into the new year! Great. Now those resolutions to lose weight? Are they still being upheld? You must remember one important thing when it comes to weight loss, and that is, 30% of how we age depends on how we age. The other 70% is up to you! Keep up with those resolutions. Let's make 2012 the year that we all get healthier!

Healthy living for African Americans

Obesity. It's something we as a nation face everyday. We see it every time we leave the house and every few months on the news. This is also the time of year that every new year diet imaginable is displayed on newsstands everywhere. The four leading causes of death are the same risks associated with obesity: Heart Disease, Cancer, Stroke, Diabetes. Being overweight has become epidemic in this country with 7 of 10 adults and 1 of 4 children are overweight.

And in the African American community, we are no better. Our women are more overweight than our men. Black women are 79% overweight and Black men are 67% overweight. That means that in the black population women tend to be more overweight than men by at least 12%. It's true that women naturally have harder times losing weight than males, but our diets do not help either. Only 30% of how we age is determined by our genes. We have control of 70% of how we age! That's a big percentage that we can choose to make better.

We have to take advantage of our health and not let it weaken with processed foods, fast foods, liquor, salt and so on. We need proper nutrition. Our bodies crave it! We cannot survive on junk food alone. It's not healthy if you think you are living just fine with fast food every day. It might be good but that food is pretty much eating to live food. Food you eat because you're hungry and it's quick is bad in excess and there are excesses of fast food, processed processed foods, and liquor in our neighborhoods. No one is invisible to heart disease, stroke or even the other health problems caused by blood pressure and diabetes. Invest in your health! Herbalife might not be cheap but it's worth it's cost. And everything you buy lasts at least a month! The skin and body care products may last even longer than that. And the ones I've tried are amazing! I love how the skincare line makes my skin feel.

Herbalife gives us the chance to give our bodies the best nutrition available. The products are delicious and they're wonderful to use. I've been using these products since August 2011 and when I checked my weight a couple of weeks ago I've found that I've lost nearly 16 lbs. That means I've been losing about 1 lb a week. My BMI was 25 (overweight, I'm only 5'3") now it's 22 (normal, for my height). I have better energy and I'm starting to be way more conscious about what I put in my body as well.
