My decisions, perfect or not let's not fight about them.

Instead of turning something into a fight. I'm going to talk about some of my health preferences and reasons for them.

I stopped going to the doctor a few years before I found Herbalife. I don't have health insurance and I cannot afford the expense of going to see one either. I made my decision based on those facts and the fact that I cannot go to the community wellness clinic without someone assuming I am pregnant. Because most of the girls at my age were pregnant or getting pregnant, it felt assumed that I was pregnant without having any symptoms or even bringing it up.

I am not saying that I cannot get pregnant, but if that's not what I came to you about. Then you shouldn't be checking for that. If for whatever reason I thought I was that would be the first thing to come out of my mouth. For instance, I had the stomach flu and everyone knows all the gory details of that illness. The doctor actually stood there and told me that she thought I was pregnant and should leave a urine sample.

The doctor I was going to before never, under any circumstances, brought up pregnancy with me unless I brought it up myself.

I also have stopped watching the news because of the margin of error in a lot of the reporting. Specifically because I wanted to see the bigger picture. What was really going on? What's the real deal behind the crap they feed you on all mainstream outlets. This might anger some of you. I don't believe in going to the doctor anymore. I'm not saying anyone under Doctor's care should stop seeing their doctor because if you have severe health problems that you are already seeing a health care professional continue to see that person. All Dr's are not trying to shove a pill down your throat. Some good Dr's will give their patients advice on diet and exercise because it helps. Medication alone doesn't do the trick. If it did, I wouldn't know so many people who need to take insulin because they didn't put in the extra effort to heal the body.

The right diet and exercise can possibly bring down those high numbers from lab results. So continue with your health regime, but please don't disrespect the decisions of friends and family. What may work for you might not work for me.

There is a difference. Fancy that?

There is a real difference in the foods I've tried from farmers market and the ones I buy at the grocery store. I cannot believe it.

I know I haven't been staying updated with my progress. I've sort of hit a bump financially. So I had to go to the grocery store for a little bit of time. But this past weekend I got right back on track! And I've noticed that I cannot eat the so called fresh fruit and veggies that come from the store anymore. Everything tastes better when it's been grown until it's ready to be picked, not being picked before it's all fully mature.

When your veggies and fruits taste better, the way you cook them tastes better. It's the truth! Better ingredients start with the freshest ingredients. And how much more fresher can farmers market be? Even the meat from farmers market is way more flavorful than what you buy from the store.

With that said, I've eaten almost everything available at my nearest farmers market. And every with every trip I become more and more surprised and inspired! Here's my latest inspiration.

Veggie Pasta

1 small rainbow bell pepper (any color you choose), diced
1/2 onion, diced
1 or 2 oz of fresh broccoli
Rotini pasta (make sure the listed ingredients are wheat flour)
3 small mushrooms
Garlic
Cream of mushroom (optional)
Chicken Broth

Start with the box of pasta. Cook according to directions on the box. Now once the pasta is done, start with browning onions and bell pepper. Remove from skillet and add mushrooms until they're brown. Add the mushrooms to the onions and bell pepper.

Start by heating up the cream of mushroom soup, watch it so it doesn't burn. Add chicken broth, a couple tablespoons at a time until desired consistency. Then add pasta, bell pepper, mushrooms and onions to simmer. Then slowly add the broccoli. The broccoli should turn bright green. If the broccoli starts to fall apart, don't worry. Now the dish is done and you're ready to eat!

You can enjoy this recipe with baked chicken, fish, or you can make this a one dish meal by adding your favorite meat to it. Quick and Easy!

Until next week!
